Can I Bring My Own Lawn Chairs for the concerts?

Sure! Bring your lawn chairs, relax and enjoy the show!

Can I Bring My Own Liquids?

While liquids are not prohibited, part of the event's initiative is to support local businesses in and around downtown Chicopee through purchasing their goods and services.

Is alcohol permitted on site?

Alcohol will be sold on site. Please do not bring any to the event, it will not be permitted through the gates.

How much is it to get in to the block party?

Admission to the Downtown Getdown is free for anyone. Vendors and activities charge for their services.

Who is throwing this event?

The event is being held by the City of Chicopee in partnership with Fest-of-All and the Chicopee Chamber of Commerce.

My Business is being affected by the street closures. Who can I talk to?

The City of Chicopee Planning department is committed to the success of your business. Please give us a call at (413) 594-1515 so that we can discuss any concerns that you might have about the event.

What can I bring to the event?

No bicycles, skateboards, scooters, roller blades or dogs are allowed. No coolers, beach umbrellas, or alcohol (alcohol will be sold inside the event). Bags are permitted but subject to search. You may bring lawn chairs for the scheduled music events. Bring your friends, children, sunblock, appetites, and good vibes.

Where is the Downtown GetDown being held?

The event is being held in the same location it was held last year, downtown Chicopee at the intersection of Exchange, Center and Springfield Streets.

When is the Downtown GetDown?

The event is being held on Friday August 28th from Noon to 9:00 pm and Saturday August 29th from 10:00 am to 9:00 pm.

Is the event kid friendly?

Yes! The Downtown Getdown is a family friendly event.

​

Is the event dog friendly?

Unfortunately, you will have to ask your furry friends to stay home; they are not permitted in the event. Service dogs are always welcome.

Will there be an ATM within the event?

All vendors accept cash. Some may offer credit card or virtual payments. ATMs are located within a close walking distance at Polish National Credit Union, Westfield Bank, and Bank of America. You may leave and come back to the event.​
